Hyatt is uncorking something special in Mendoza. The global hospitality group has announced plans for Casa Duhau, a new-build luxury hotel nestled in Argentina’s premier wine region. Set to open in 2027 as part of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, the intimate retreat will feature 52 secluded villas and suites surrounded by sprawling vineyards and panoramic Andes views.
Casa Duhau will anchor Reserva Alto Agrelo, a nearly 1,000-acre lifestyle development just 30 minutes from downtown Mendoza. Expect more than a hotel: the estate will include a boutique winery – helmed by oenology legends Michel Rolland and Marcelo Pelleriti – an equestrian club with top-tier facilities, and 116 upscale residences.
The architectural design of Casa Duhau will be led by BMA ARQS, a global firm with offices in Buenos Aires, Santiago de Chile and Miami, while Martín Zanotti Studio will oversee the interior design, and Fernando González will be responsible for the landscape design. The entire development of Reserva Alto Agrelo will be carried out by Terrandes SAS and BDA Realty (Marcelo Cusmai and Richie Fernandez), who will be responsible for the representation and commercial consulting of Reserva Alto Agrelo residential lots.
“We are proud to announce plans to introduce The Unbound Collection by Hyatt brand in Argentina through this highly anticipated luxury hotel project – and expand our relationship with the Scalesciani family, in collaboration with the David family,” said Cristiano Goncalves, VP, Development, South America & Caribbean, Hyatt. “The Unbound Collection by Hyatt brand invites guests to discover unforgettable places, opening the doors to wonders around the world, and Casa Duhau will offer just that for guests and World of Hyatt members.”
This marks Hyatt’s third luxury outpost in Argentina, following the success of Palacio Duhau – Park Hyatt Buenos Aires, recently crowned #1 Hotel in South America by Condé Nast Traveler readers, and Park Hyatt Mendoza.
With experiences that span from horseback riding to bonfires under the stars, and a design team blending local elegance with world-class flair, Casa Duhau promises a refined, nature-infused escape for wine lovers, adventurers, and dreamers alike.
