Is this the world’s ‘flattest’ shower tray – and just how sleek is it?

Is this the world’s ‘flattest’ shower tray – and just how sleek is it?

Discreet design taken to a whole new level, Bette has unveiled BetteUltra Space shower tray, which is, according to the bathroom brand, its flattest-ever shower tray.

Boasting a minimalist, timeless aesthetic, the ultra-slim tray has a height of just 15mm. It can be installed flush with the floor or slightly raised, and is available in 20 sizes, ranging from 800 × 800 mm to 1700 × 800 mm, along with a wide variety of colour options.

The BetteUltra Space made its debut at Clerkenwell Design Week in the newly launched Charterhouse exhibition space, where the brand also revealed a fresh colour addition: Salvia. This elegant, glossy sage green was featured in the Barber Osgerby-designed BetteSuno bath and now joins Bette’s existing 30 Key Colours – all available across the brand’s enamelled steel range of shower trays, baths and washbasins.

The BetteSuno collection, developed in collaboration with acclaimed British design studio Barber Osgerby, includes a freestanding oval bath and two washbasins – all crafted from glazed titanium-steel and backed by a 30-year warranty.

“The form invites engagement,” said Jay Osgerby, “and its exactness is achieved through expert engineering and the use of enamelled steel – a far superior material for sanitaryware.”

Defined by a pared-back design language, the bath features an outwardly projecting rim that nods to classic bath forms, now further elevated by the new Salvia shade unveiled during the show.

All Bette products – from shower trays and baths to basins – are made from durable, easy-to-clean, fully recyclable glazed titanium-steel. With a 30-year warranty, they are equally at home in luxury hotels and hospitality venues as they are in private residences.
