In New York, at the intersection of Park Avenue South and East 30th Street, a new chapter in hospitality quietly unfolds. Introducing Hotel Park Ave — the latest from Lore Group, whose creative fingerprints already grace the Pulitzer Amsterdam, Sea Containers London and Riggs Washington, D.C. With its seventh property, the group’s creative team, led by Jacu Strass, once again proves that hospitality and high design aren’t mutually exclusive — they’re inseparable.

A soft opening belies the intent: Hotel Park Ave is a love letter to layered textures, thoughtful forms and the kind of elevated calm that’s become synonymous with Lore Group’s approach. The newly refreshed guestrooms have already welcomed their first design-conscious travellers, while nine expansive suites — including the highly anticipated Nomad Penthouse — are set to debut in May. Think Manhattan loft meets tactile sophistication, framed by cinematic views of the city below.

Strauss, whose reimagined lobby, which we first caught a glimpse of on Instagram, balances eclectic warmth with tailored restraint, has created a space that doesn’t scream for attention — it simply earns it — with curated finishes, custom detailing, and just the right amount of swagger. For designers, it’s a visual feast: a quiet study in how modern hospitality can speak fluent style.

“Expanding into New York City felt like the natural next step for Lore Group,” said Lore Group CEO David Taylor. “It’s a city that we all know and love, as well as one we have long drawn inspiration from. Much like London, New York City is a metropolitan hub of culture and creativity, as well as both business and leisure travelers, offering an exciting opportunity for us to bring a fresh perspective to the hospitality scene. We’re thrilled to be a new part of this city and look forward to contributing to the energy that makes New York City unlike anywhere else in the world.”

While renovations continue in elegant stages (with minimal guest disruption), the property stays fully open — an intentional move that mirrors its philosophy of calm amidst chaos. Nestled in the historic yet ever-evolving NoMad neighbourhood, Hotel Park Ave offers a retreat from the city’s rhythm without missing a beat of its creative pulse.

Two event spaces — a moody, intimate study and an airy 15th-floor terrace — anchor the property’s social side, while new dining concepts are poised to join the conversation soon. A rooftop terrace bar and ground-floor restaurant are both in the works, promising layered experiences from sunrise espresso to late-night cocktails.

At the operational forefront is newly appointed General Manager, Alison Pecci — a name familiar to those in the know. With stints at MADE Hotels, Royalton Park Avenue, and Gansevoort Hotel Group, Pecci brings both insight and instinct to the role, bridging design-centric thinking with strategic hospitality leadership.

Hotel Park Ave introduces a new way of thinking about the guest experience. For those who design, dream and dwell in details, it’s a place that feels as considered as the portfolios Lore Group so effortlessly shelters.
